The duo find Hiro's only remaining microbot and follow it to an abandoned warehouse. Two weeks later, Hiro, now depressed and mourning Tadashi's death, inadvertently activates Baymax. When a fire breaks out in the school and Callaghan is said to be still inside, Tadashi rushes in to save him, only for the building to explode, killing them both. At the school's showcase, he presents his project: microbots, swarms of tiny robots that can link together in any arrangement using a neurocranial transmitter and Callaghan accepts him into the school. Amazed, Hiro decides to apply to the university.
